Brick's Beer News: The K&L Beer is Coming!

Hey All,
Lots of pieces of info here so bear with me.
First of all I will be hosting another event at Gourmet Haus Staudt on Saturday, July 28th at 6pm. For those of you that came last time it will be the same story. For those of you that did not here is the scoop. Volker, Maryanne and the gang at GHS are letting me take over 6 of the taps to pour some weird, unusual and delicious beers for you all. No need to make reservations just swing on by and will have some great beers to pour all of you. As of right now the following beers are confirmed:
Upright Offen Weisse—A totally delicious wheat beer that doesn’t have so much of the yeasty/banana flavor
Mikkeller K:rlek—An awesome Pale Ale with multiple hops, wheat malt and oat flakes
Æppeltrow Winery “Orchard Oriole” Perry—Part of their “Songbird” collection, this is bone dry, tannic and all of the pears come from their estate orchard.
These really are reason enough to swing by but we will be pouring even more cool stuff, I’ll keep you posted.
Second - good news! - the K&L Beer is coming. We are beginning the label approval process and getting it in bottles soon. For those of you that don’t know about this it is a beer that Rodger Davis, formerly of Drake’s and Triple Rock and soon to be of his own brewery—Faction, made for us. It is a Belgian Strong Ale that he added some wild yeast to and aged in our first Buffalo Trace barrel. It is really tasty stuff. I’ll keep you all posted on its ETA.
